Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC)

Chris Hoggart (UK/Europe)

The Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) regulations were brought in to force in England, Scotland and Wales in 2000 and in Northern Ireland in 2003. Their implementation means that any potentially polluting industrial process must be actively managed from an environmental perspective in order to reduce impact and emissions to a level considered acceptable by the managing authorities.

Hyder Consulting advises clients on what IPPC means for their businesses and helps them prepare operating permit applications in accordance with the timetable (by industrial activity) laid out in the regulations.
